What Services does the Hospital offer?

Stanley Purser Ward:

Stanley Purser Ward is a 15 bed, nurse led unit providing care for local people who may require rehabilitation, palliative or terminal care, treatment of medical conditions and day care treatments. Patients are admitted from general hospitals and via local general practitioners, district nurses or visiting consultants.

Care is provided by a multi-professional team which includes Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, Social Services, Community Nursing, Dietician, Speech & Language therapist and other appropriate professionals, along with medical support from a local GP and fortnightly visits by a Consultant.

The ward staff provide excellent standards of care whilst ensuring the privacy and dignity of patients.

If you (or a relative) are an inpatient at Poole, Bournemouth or Dorchester hospital it is always worth asking the staff there if you can transfer to Swanage to continue your care.
