At present we have over 900 members who pay an annual subscription (suggested minimum £5). Taxpayers can Gift Aid their subscriptions, increasing their value to us by 25%. You can join by filling in our membership form and posting it to the hospital or join online by pressing the donate button.
Using your personal information
Your privacy is important and we keep details of your name, address and contact details purely in order to maintain a record of your subscriptions and donations, keep your details up-to-date, send you details of events and news and where appropriate to claim Gift Aid. These details are maintained by the Membership Secretary and Treasurer, who are aided by the Secretary and the records may be retained in paper form or electronically.
These details would only be passed on to the Inland Revenue (for Gift Aid) or a professional mail sorting firm. We will not disclose the information to anyone else. We will delete your details on request at any time and if required, we can also provide further details of how data is processed.
Donations and Legacies
The largest part of our income comes from legacies and as a charity we receive donations tax-free from a person’s estate. It is important to make sure that a will is correctly worded – if in doubt ask for professional advice .
